Desired Candidate Profile

Essential  Qualifications:

  • PG Diploma in Sales & Marketing with > 5 Year Experience in FMCG/Consumer Durables 
  • Graduate with Experience in the same field with 10 Year Experience

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Consumer Durables Business, (Sony Products Preferable) & Risk Management
  • Ability to Analyze Sales Data
  • Appreciation of Business Development Tools & Processes
  • Professional Written & Verbal Skills
  • Ability to Motivate Team
  • Experience  (As mentioned above) with at least 2 Years as Head of Function.

Job Description

Strategic – Consumer Durables, Tyres

  • Establish Distribution of Consumer Durables, Increase Product Lines:         Achieve Distribution in all Major towns of Uganda, Drive Field sales force to achieve budgets,   Channel Management & Interacting with Buying Team on increasing Product Possibilities.
  • Establish Retail Outlets : Manage branded showrooms Sales, Manpower & infrastructure, Lookout for potential for increase of branded outlets, Establish multi brand outlets

Manage Costs: Audit Clearing, Bond, Transport & Warehousing Costs, Direct Responsibility to clear Consumer Durables Consignments, Establish Credit Limits & Monitor The Same, Debtors & Stock Reconciliations.

Manage Credit Risks : Operate within Credit Limits & Manage Default Risks

Networking within the Business community & Keeping ears to the ground on Opportunities & business trends.

Spearhead Marketing Activities in conjunction with Product Heads and Brands.

Extensive travel within Uganda & any other region as required.

Other Duties as Assigned
