Our client is looking to fill an urgent role of Human Resources Head for their Sub Saharan operation. The incumbent will lead operational/strategic planning of human resources strategy and will report to Global Head HR

The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years human resources working experience with exposure to global multinational company environment and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Africa environment, culture and way of working.

Desired Candidate Profile
  • University degree in Human Resources Management, or a related discipline (MBA desirable) 10 to 15 years human resources working experience with exposure to global multinational company environment 
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Africa environment, culture and way of working  
  • Proven track record of working closely with a business leadership team and contributing to the development of business strategy and performance 
  • Proven success in leading large scale projects, which have delivered measurable business results 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills Decisive with strong analytical skills and the ability influence stakeholder mindset and behaviour
Job Description
  • Accountable for leadership relating to the human resources policy, process and services including compensation & benefits, organization development, selection & training, industrial relations etc to ensure planning, budgeting and control meet overall business goals 
  • Participate in the strategic planning activities and work with business unit leaders to define short and long term human resources strategies and manpower plan according to business strategic direction in order to provide human resources ideas and recommendations that drive business solutions
  • In consultation with senior management, plan, make recommendations and devise human resources and industrial relations policy according to global and regional/sub-regional policies and adherence to legislative requirements 
  • Gain commitment of senior management to global and regional HR programs and lead the implementation of new programs and take the role of facilitator in managing changes in the organization 
  • Supportive of the company’s vision and thrusts, perform organizational review and analysis and recommend programs and activities that will contribute to increased organizational health and effectiveness 
  • Conduct studies that are related to improving human resources systems and management 
  • Ensure the organization’s training and development activities are planned to meet current and future organization and employee needs
